I basically became a pool of melted butter and did not want to leave. I told my wife… I don’t think I had ever been so relaxed in my life. Being by myself and just drifting through each day at my own pace on my own terms…when do we ever get to do that in our crazy lives? …. my wife and I are already talking about how we can get our whole family down in a year or two (I have 4 children…6,5,3 & 2 years) It would be fun… I think!? Anyhow, I appreciate how much attention you and Matt give your business, as well as your staff. The happy vibe really rubs off and that is why I like coming to the GI. In my opinion, it IS the best hotel in Guiones. Thank you again. Please say hola to everyone from me.
Thank you again for helping make Nick and Niki’s wedding memorable. It was as close to perfect as one could ask for. It was also wonderful to finally meet “Joellen & Matt”, since I’ve been hearing about you for many years. If you ever decide to vacation in Southern California, please know that I’d love to have you use the Palmer house as your “base of operations”.
My trip to Costa Rica was the best trip I have ever been on, and part of that was due to your amazing place and staff. Everyday held more smiles for me. Roger, Dino, Jordanny, Dee and Freddy were incredible. They work so hard, and they still take the time to get to know all the guests that stay at the Iguana. The food, and the atmosphere was also better than any other hotel I have stayed in. Each meal was delicious, and the dining experience both inside the restaurant area, at the pool bar, and on the grass on music night was so fun, and inviting! I will certainly be back.I truly needed a vacation to renew my spirit, and that is exactly what happened during my stay there.
Just a note of thank you for the hospitality and great time we had over the last week at your place. I can’t tell you how relaxing it was, how terrific your staff is (especially Dee and Dino), and what a great time my son had at the pool.
We’ll be back. The Iguana is the only place to stay. You guys really know how to run a great hotel, and have captured the tropical vibe so many places struggle–and fail–to create.
And the food is GREAT. Back soon, I hope.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay there. The accomodations were great. You and your staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem, my niece now wants to go there and stay. Thank you again for helping to organize such a great vacation. Even after staying at the Tabacon resort we all agreed that the Gilded Iguana has exactly want we want from a resort. Not only is the Gilded Iguana a great place to visit but a lot of the memories came from your friendly staff. Dino and the rest of the team were always very friendly and always made sure we were well taken care of in the true costa rican spirit of Pura Vida.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at The Gilded Iguana. It was so nice to be walking distance to the beach. The food in the restaurant was excellent!
