Education is incredibly important to us, especially as many of our team members have young children who deserve nothing less than an excellent education. As Nosara continues to grow in the international sphere, it is our priority that the local community has all the resources and opportunities to grow alongside it.
Founded in 2002, Santa Teresita is an important piece of the local educational landscape, serving as an elementary school dedicated to nurturing the minds of Nosara’s youth. Committed to providing a quality education, Santa Teresita holds the promise of a brighter future for our children.
For the past four years, we’ve been privileged to stand by Santa Teresita, extending our support in various forms. In our most recent endeavor, we embarked on a mission to enrich the school environment by planting native trees and fruit plants on its grounds. Our Maintenance, Marketing, and Human Resources teams dedicated time to cultivating the garden, learning firsthand the impact a positive environment can have on students. The experience was not only fulfilling but also educational, allowing us to reconnect with the soil and appreciate the intricate balance of Costa Rica’s unique ecosystem.
Through the cultivation of native plants, Santa Teresita students not only deepen their connection to their cultural heritage but also gain insights into the importance of preserving Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity. They also learn valuable lessons about the life cycle of our flora and fauna, enriching their daily experiences and equipping them for the challenges ahead.
In addition to hands-on support, we actively engage in fundraising efforts to aid Santa Teresita’s endeavors. At our 5th-anniversary celebration last year, we organized a raffle, with all proceeds going directly to the construction of a new classroom. This expansion will ensure that even more young people are given the opportunity to receive a quality education.
We are humbled by the generosity of our guests, many of whom share our passion for uplifting the local community. For those eager to contribute, we encourage donations of essential school supplies such as notebooks, pens, and stationery. We recommend bringing this equipment from your home country as it is less accessible in Nosara.
Additionally, monetary contributions directly support the development of Santa Teresita’s new classroom. Whether through donations or volunteerism, your support makes a tangible difference in the lives of Nosara’s youth.
