This high season, we are opening a new chapter in our journey, with community and family at the heart of everything. If you’ve dropped by recently, you’ve likely seen the dedicated efforts of our team, tirelessly working on both the aesthetic and functional aspects of our hotel. From renovating our Salon Malinche to updating our restaurant and refreshing all of our spaces with lush greenery, we’ve poured love into every corner. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working just as hard, creating new menus, elevating our content game, and building Whatsapp communities to keep you in the loop. Stay tuned, as we will soon be uncovering all the exciting new pieces of the Gilded Iguana story.

Cata, who opened up the Surf Club with us years ago, launched her own little plant shop in Guiones Centro! You’ll be able to spot some of her beautiful pots around our property. Located next to Olo Alaia, this shop is like stepping into an oasis, allowing you to bring the jungle inside your own home.
A new destination that has everyone talking, El Pueblo features an array of food & independent local retailers. Keep an eye out as vendors are continuing to open into the new year with something for everyone. It is located just past Il Basilico, on the road out of Guiones when heading south.
Savor the taste of Italy, right here in Nosara with a range of fresh pastas and delicious pizzas at Posada Margherita. This boutique dining spot is right in the heart of Guiones, and is a perfect destination for families to enjoy an authentic Italian experience.
The latest bar to come to Playa Pelada, Sara Cocktail bar is just a five minute drive away from our hotel. From the family of a local favorite restaurant Toñito’s, this bar is bound to impress. With frequent events and music throughout the weekends, it is the perfect place for the community to gather.
